Abstract

In this article we present procedures of creation, verification, and application of a device for contactless measurement of object’s temperature in vacuum. In contrast to conventional dual-wavelength pyrometers, it does not rely on spectral filtering and makes use of the intrinsic bandwidth parameters of photodetectors. In theory the device is capable of measuring values of temperature ranging from room temperature to several thousands kelvins. The verification was performed using a reference thermometer. Also, in-field measurements of the sample’s temperature in vacuum were conducted, which show efficiency of the proposed system.
