Abstract
The design of a simple gas flowmeter is described. The instrument utilizes the liquid displacement principle and is therefore capable of measuring volumetric flow rates of gas mixtures of varying composition. It is easy and cheap to construct and can be easily automated or incorporated into data acquisition/process control systems.
