Abstract

The deviations from Matthiessen's rule (DMR) that arise in the bcc phase of dilute Li alloys are discussed beginning with the ideal electron-phonon scattering times which show considerable anisotropy. This anisotropy gets reduced by the addition of impurities. This reduction in anisotropy leads to DMR in excellent qualitative agreement with the data of Dugdale and Gugan.
