Abstract
Bathymetric survey using autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) is a promising survey technology in various fields, because of its ability to acquire detailed bathymetric data even at deep waters. However, it is not easy to actually acquire high-quality bathymetric data using AUVs, and then the standardization of AUV bathymetric survey techniques is a major challenge. In this paper, we summarized the important checkpoints that affect the quality of AUV bathymetric data, and quantitatively evaluated some of them through multiple sea trials using "AUV-NEXT".
