Abstract

Two lectin affinity immunoelectrophoretic techniques, i.e., crossed affinity immuno-electrophoresis and lectin affinity electrophoresis combined with antibody-affinity blotting, are reviewed. These procedures are suitable in structural studies of serum glycoprotein glycans. Applications of these techniques in fields of biochemical and clinical interest are discussed.
