Developments and Investigations for the Application of the Pulsed Eddy Current Technique

Abstract

The objective of the performed investigations and developments in the pulsed eddy current method was to expand the range of applications. For this purpose an universally usable test equipment has been built up; it includes a minicomputer system for data acquisition and signal evaluation. A collection of program modules are present for the processing of several problems. By means of examples the possibilities of application are shown. The main field is the examination of components and layers of materials with low electrical conductivity such as austenites and aluminium alloys.
