Abstract
The 1927 observations on the development of the Narcissus bulb fly, Merodon equestris Fab., varied slightly from 1926. These differences are largely due to temperature as indicated by analysis of the records in relation to environmental conditions. It is shown by partial correlation that temperature and time of day are important factors influencing the activities of the flies. New data on exact duration of larval period and total life cycle are presented. No evidence of two year larval period found.
