Abstract

The Communist Party of the Soviet Union has devoted great attention to finding a long-term resolution of the food problem. In this connection, an active search in underway for new possibilities of increasing the production of agricultural produce. Nontraditional forms of organizing agricultural production and relations with allied branches of the APK [agroprmyshlennyi kompleks—agro-industrial complex] that are not a part of existing theoretical conceptions are becoming widespread. Family, small group, and other forms of the collective contract are being introduced everywhere. Agrofirms, agrocombines, production and science-production systems are being created and strengthened. Unusual means are also being employed in addressing a number of other problems in the economic mechanism based on the creative use of Lenin's ideas on cooperation and the prodnalog [tax in kind in the form of foodstuffs].
