Abstract

Medical education in Taiwan has witnessed a development from being incomparable in 1998 by the national committee on overseas medical education and assessment systems under the US Education Department,to being recognized in 2003,thanks to an effective reform.The authors described the development profile of such a reform and its key insights.The findings are as follows:Add an interview step to improve the student admission practice;enhance and encourage liberal education in premedicine courses;and reforms in clinical education and medical education assessment/monitoring system.Authors hold that these factors will contribute to a growing quality momentum in its education and Success in refoms.
