Abstract
Zinc oxide films were prepared by rf magnetron sputtering on GaAs substrates for surface acoustic wave (SAW) applications. A SAW ladder configuration was used for the filter design. Preliminary measurements of the tested filters indicated an insertion loss S 21 of 4dB for the lowest SAW mode and a wide bandwidth of 25MHz around 900MHz.
