Abstract

In this report, the high output power thermomagnetic engine can be de designed. In order to decrease the eddy current braking loss, the disc type rotor is designed as piling up discs with 400 mm in diameter. 0.5 mm in thickness and 40 mm in width. The disc consists of the temperature sensitive magnetic material Fe-Ni (31.5 %) alloy which has the maximum value of temperature gradient of magnetic flux density in comparison with other Ni contents. The power per disc is found to be 1.48 W at the rotation speed of 0.4 rps in the optimized engine.
