Abstract
Recently, the number of disasters caused by climate change has become more frequent consequently increasing the scale of damage. As a preemptive countermeasure, Korea has been implementing the Storm and Flood Insurance Management Map which incorporates the Premium rate developed per region through the Storm and Flood Insurance Law. Moreover, a computer system that can integrate and manage these was established. However, the existing system that calculates the Premium rate and manages the Storm and Flood Insurance Management Map in Korea is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, a Web-GIS-based Storm and Flood Insurance Management System which incorporates Premium rate analysis algorithm module that automatically calculates the Premium rate and manages the Storm and Flood Insurance Management Map was developed. The system development direction was established by analyzing the storm and flood Premium rate analysis algorithm and menu structure for the system users. The main functions of the system includes but are not limited to the calculation of the Premium rate and premium and estimation of insurance rate after specifying a location. After stabilizing the system, the system is expected to be used effectively in the aspect of prevention of disasters and reduction of damage. Keywords: Storm and Flood Insurance, Insurance Management Map, Storm and Flood Insurance Management System, Premium Rate
