Abstract
The important oil is Vitex negundo Linn. It is also used as a tonic, insect repellent, galactagogue, menstrual agent, antibacterial, antipyretic and antihistamine. The plant component arrangements of V. negundo, are used commercially in a variety of Ayurvedic medicines and ointments for the treatment of a variety of ailments including rheumatism, arthritis, gout, cervical spondylitis, infl ammatory musculoskeletal, hemorrhoids (hemorrhoids), painful wounds, painful wounds. wounds, painful sores, burns and fungal infections of the skin.
