Abstract
AbstractThis article outlines the development of the draft Eurocode on wind actions (ENV 1991–2–4). The scope of the draft is described and the derivation of the various parameters needed to define wind actions is outlined. These include meteorological factors to modify the basic wind speed, the treatment of in‐line response and the range of pressure coefficients covered. The future programme to convert the draft into a full Code is outlined.
