Abstract

The Bartles CrossBelt Concentrator has been developed for the gravity concentration of fine particles, in the size range −100 +5 micron. This paper describes the experimental model of the machine and discusses the effect of such parameters as orbital shear speed, transverse slopes, belt speed and flowrate on its performance. Comparative testwork between the CrossBelt Concentrator and a Slime Table has also been carried out.
