Abstract
This research work presents an investigation on N, N, N’, N’-tetraglycidyl-4,4′-diaminodiphenylmethane containing epoxy nanocomposites to seek out its suitability to be employed in high-performance applications. The synthesis and characterization of this epoxy denoted as ‘A’ was done. The nano reinforcement polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane -amine-based represented as ‘N2′ was incorporated into the synthesized epoxy. Curing of the tetraglycidyl epoxy was finished with diaminodiphenylmethane and bis (3-aminophenyl) phenyl phosphine oxide curing agents marked as X and Y respectively. The mechanical, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy, viscosity, epoxy equivalent weight, and gel permeation chromatography studies were disbursed and the results thus obtained are presented.
