Abstract

The lab scale tubular cell for testing has thermal expansion and sealing problems. When we feed fuel gas to jig inlet, ceramic glue sealant has amount of gas expansion pressure, because temperature of feeding gas changes ambient temperature to high temperature (700~900°). Furthermore, when we carry out long time test, something like degradation test, crack of ceramic glue sealant due to weakness of mechanical properties can make stop working the test. To solve these problems, we developed advanced jig design. In the advanced jig, mica is employed as spacer for sealant and insulator. Inconel springs provide appropriate pressure to mica sealant between end plate and tubular cell. It can simply fasten assembling nut with suitable torque wrench. One of the important advantages of self-compressing jig is effortless of assembling jig and tubular cell. Additionally, we reduce setting process for assembling.
