Abstract

Teaching students to pronounce hijaiyah letters correctly is not as simple as what is thought. The development of the Qur'anic Hadith teaching materials, on the material: "Understanding the Hijaiyah Letters", which the writer discussed in this paper leads to the making of learning modules in related material using the children's cognitive development approach.
 The results of this study indicate that the teaching material of the subject matter of the material Hadiths of Knowing the Hijaiyah letters has been successfully developed by using a child development stage approach. The teaching material prototype recognizes hijaiyah letters consisting of 48 pages containing three learning activities. The first learning activity with the theme of recognizing hijaiyah letters, two learning activities with the theme of recognizing harakat (fathah, kasroh and dhomah), and three learning activities with the theme of reading hijaiyah letters in a community. The results of the validation of various aspects of the assessment have shown very good / decent value. The results of the test stated that the results of students 'understanding increased, with the details of the pretest which showed an average value of 47 and the posttest had an average value of 78. The significance of the results was 0,000 which meant that the use of teaching materials was effective in increasing students' understanding of the material first grade letter hijaiyah MI Sananul Ula Piyungan
