Abstract
ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 ‘System and software engineering -- System life cycle processes’ defined the general framework of system life cycle processes. In the field of system and software engineering, the standard takes an important role in supporting man-made system life cycle management. This paper mainly expounds on the core technical content and all main changes in previous versions. Linking the software life cycle processes standards and the system and software engineering--life cycle management standards, studies the development process of system and software engineering field standardization. And analyzing the future evolution direction will help plan future development paths in this field and promote the progress of future standardization work.
