Abstract

System Engineering Model for Data Relay Test Satellite ( DRTS ) has been developed by NASD A. DRTS is planned to carry outKa-band and S-band inter orbit communications experiments to relay data between experimental satellites in orbits up to 1000 km altitude and ground stations. It succeeds to data relay experiments of Engineering Test Satellite-VI(ETS-VI) and Communications and broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite(COMETS) program. This paper describes the major characteristics of DRTS spacecraft(BUS Subsystem) and major performance of Interorbit Communication Equipment (ICE) mission subsystem engineering model.
