Abstract

The paper considers the option of replacing the composite piston serial type locomotive diesel 10D100 20 kg new - a mass of 13 kg. The results of optimization of the shape of the steel inside the top of the piston. It is shown that the calculated maximum temperature on the combustion chamber surface of the proposed design is somewhat lower than in batch, and safety factors in design strained areas not lower than serial. It is shown that the technical problems associated with the introduction of the proposed piston and its solutions.
