Abstract

In order to comprehend how schoolgirls, search for menstrual information, it is necessary to measure their information-seeking behavior. WHO has prescribed three important factors as their primary source of information, A scale has been developed to measure the menstrual information seeking behavior of the school girls in Tamil Nadu to collect empirical data. KMO test was performed to evaluate the significance of each factor and factor analysis was done to classify the factors under three important Factors. These three factors were Mass Media, Organization and Community and Interpersonal. Cronbach’s Alpha test was also performed to check the reliability of the data. Parental consent and students’ consent were obtained before they fill the questionnaire and it was presented before PSG Medical College ethical committee and obtained its approval. This scale development is a part of Indian Council of Medical Science Research (ICMR) funded project.
