Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual problem of the development of research abilities of children of senior preschool age, since their presence in children allows them to actively act, quickly navigate the situation, and creatively approach the solution of problems. Researches demonstrate that in children of senior preschool age there is a growing desire to reason, compare, argue, solve puzzles, pick words in rhyme, experiment, etc. The foundations of their development takes place in the preschool years. The purpose of the article is to reveal the development methodology of research abilities of children 5-6 years old in the developing environment of a pre-school institution. The characteristics of the levels and indicators of the development of children's research abilities are given. The method of development of the studied qualities of preschool children is revealed. The main role is given to methods (creating a problem situation, playing, tasks, exercises, drawing up a fairy-tale plot based on an algorithm for analyzing a creative task) and providing conditions for the development of research skills that are necessary for carrying out research activities: see the problem, put forward hypotheses, give definitions, classify, observe, experiment, structure. The results of the study showed that in the experimental group there was a pronounced dynamics of development of research abilities of children of older preschool age than in children of the control group, which confirms the effectiveness of the developed and tested methodology. Further research will be related to the definition of the most effective criteria for the development of research abilities and the development of algorithms for drafting a method for the development of these abilities in children of senior preschool age.
