Abstract

The development of a real-time system to monitor the precipitable water vapor (PWV) using surface meteorological data as the input is reported in this paper. The PWV value is estimated using the, adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model that was generated using the Matlab™ software. The input of the model was taken based on the data measured by the meteorological sensors (surface pressure, temperature and relative humidity) that was included in the system. The system is developed by using the LabVIEW program at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The system has been tested and can be operated very well under windows based platform.
