Abstract

This study aims to foster numeracy skills and visual literacy of students through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and to determine the validity of e-LKPD. The population in this study were XII MIA class students of SMAN 1 Abung Selatan, North Lampung Regency in the 2022/2023 school year. This research is a Design and Development Reaserch (DDR) empirical research with 4 procedures or stages, namely, analysis, design, development, with a control group pretest posttest design. Data were collected using test and observation methods. PBL learning is applied to the Experimental class while Direct Instruction (DI) is the Control class. The results showed an increase in numeracy skills and visual literacy of experimental class students by 0.71, while the control class was 0.56 based on the results of this study indicate that the increase in experimental class both numeracy skills and visual literacy of students is higher than the control class. The One Way Anova test results show that PBL has a positive effect on the numeracy skills and visual literacy of students with the output results (50)=0.235. So, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL learning model can improve the numeracy skills and visual literacy of students
