Abstract

A simple and sensitive method for simultaneous determination of pharmaceuticals viz Domperidone (DMP) and Pantoprazole (PTZ) has been developed on PANI/CS/IL/GCE sensor. The Prepared sensor was characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). The voltammetric measurements were carried out using square wave voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. The modified sensor shows a good catalytic response towards the reduction of DMP and PTZ with a well-defined with reduction peaks at -0.7 V and -1.17 V in Britton-/Robinson buffer at pH 4.3.Variation in the peak signal with solution variables such as pH and concentration of drugs and instrumental parameters like deposition time and potential, frequency and amplitude has also been studied. The modified sensor shows a good linear calibration curve for DMP and PTZ over a concentration range with a lower detection limit of 25.1 ng/mL and 22.5 ng/mL respectively. The developed sensor was competent to determine both drug effectively without any interference. The analytical application of the sensor have been confirmed by determining the DOM and PTZ in human fluids and pharmaceutical samples. Suitability of developed sensor in clinical diagnosis was found with high sensitivity, good selectivity and reproducibility.
