Abstract

Organic composite insulators used pultrusion insulating rod made domestically can not satisfy the heat resistant demand of mono-block shaping process, so it's necessary to develop a novel insulating rod which can stand high temperature of over 15/spl deg/C. In this paper, through modification of anhydride/epoxy resin system by the pre-polymer of o,o'-diallyl-bisphenol-A modified bis(4,4'-maleimide-phenyl) methant, a novel heat resistant resin matrix formula is given. The curing mechanism and dynamics of the modified epoxy system, the all-round properties of the cured compound and the glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin matrix pultrusion rod are studied systematically. The results show that the resin matrix is fit for pultrusion, and the properties of this insulating rod have cached the technical standards of IEC-1109-92.
