Abstract

Progress made in the following tasks is reported: determination of trace elements in blood; determination of trace elements in urine; determination of trace elements in air particulates; collection and presentation of data for independent evaluation by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH); methods; and preparation of procurement specifications for a NIOSH ICP-AES system. Air particulates are analyzed for As, Be, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, V, and Zn; urine is analyzed for Al, As, B, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Se, and V.
