Abstract

The face recognition field is not limited to personal identification and verification, recently it is highly applicable in a real-time application, security, and authentication purpose. It becomes an interested, challenging, and growing topic for a researcher in the area of Computer Vision In this paper, the researcher proposed GUI based development system for multiple faces recognition in video images using a Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HOG) and Neural Network classifier. This system can also be implemented for multi-face recognition and identification for class attendance purposes. In experimental work, the HOG algorithm and NN technique are incorporated. In this recognition system, the SEAS-FR-DB video database consists of HD multi faces of 5 subjects and each subject consists of 300 frames. The result shows correct recognition and a higher recognition rate near about 100% in a real-time environment with much lower computational time.
