Abstract

AbstractSixteen polymorphic minisatellite markers suitable for biodiversity and population genetic studies were developed for the phytopathogenic fungus, Magnaporthe grisea. Polymorphism was evaluated using 23 isolates collected from diverse geographical locations and rice varieties in Yunnan Province, China. Each locus had various alleles ranging from three to 16. This is the first description of minisatellite nucleotide sequence from the fungus.
