Abstract

The novel nickel complex with the extended TTF dithiolate ligand [Ni(tmdt)2] (tmdt = trimethylenetetrathiafulvalenedithiolate) is the first three-dimensional single-component molecular metal with metallic state down to 0.6 K. The isostructural new molecular conductor [Au(tmdt)2] exhibited an unprecedentedly high-temperature antiferromagnetic transition around 85 K without loss of its high conductivity.
