Abstract
A set of measures to establish the technology for manufacturing highly active sources of γ radiation with an active part from cesium-containing glass, including the development of glass compositions with cesium oxide contents from 55 to 62.5 wt %, the design and manufacture of in-chamber equipment, and the synthesis of active glasses and manufacturing of radiation sources which meet the requirements of technical conditions has been carried out at Mayak Production Association (PO Mayak).
