The method used in this research is library research by analyzing several journal articles, books, and related sources. The results of the study stated that (1) the humanistic approach emphasizes the opportunities for students to learn to solve a problem, and (2) the social reconstruction approach emphasizes the social aspects of community life so that students can overcome problems while in the community, (3) the academic approach emphasizes aspects of knowledge in distinguishing one science from another. Therefore, the most important thing that will be done in the curriculum development process is to determine what subjects are more important that must be studied earlier in the process of developing scientific disciplines (4) Competency-based curriculum focuses more on specific competencies that students must master.
