Abstract

Food allergy prevalence has been increasing in the United States to 7.6% of children. Many foods can safely be introduced at home, and do not require monitored challenges. We developed protocols for safe home introduction of peanut, milk, and egg products, via Epic MyChart ® patient portal. Our objectives were developing tools to support patients and families in the safe home introduction of foods and providing Allergists and PCP's with a mechanism to monitor patient progress.
