Abstract

Abstract High-entropy alloys (HEAs) are alloys that have at least five or more alloying elements of principal type. Because of the concept based on a different design, these materials provide a requiring remarkable property. Thus, interest has been developed of a significant amount in these types of materials. It is emerging as well as an exciting new field in the area of material science and engineering. This paper briefly reviews some critical aspects of HEAs, including various effects of core, phases and crystal structures, stabilities in structural applications, mechanical properties.
