Abstract

This paper proposes $H_{\infty}$ performance based state feedback load frequency controller design scheme for time-delay interconnected power system (IPS) with actuator saturation. A Lyapunov-Krasovskii (LK) functional based new stabilization criterion is derived in linear matrix inequality (LMI) framework by considering saturating input of time-delay IPS. The input saturation of IPS is represented by using sector bounding representation of saturation function. Finally, a case of time-delay two-area IPS with saturating input is considered to explain the usefulness of proposed $H_{\infty}$ controller based on state feedback control strategy.
