Abstract

The study of graphene/poly (p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) (PBO) nanocomposites in recent years is introduced, while the research interests and application fields of graphene/PBO nanocomposites in the future are prospected in this review. In the process of polymer formation, two modification methods, in-situ polymerization modification and blending modification are mainly used to improve the dispersion uniformity of graphene in the PBO matrix. The polymer can be divided into the surface modification of PBO fiber and the modification of PBO nanofiber according to the existing state of PBO, and the effects of two modification methods on mechanics, thermal characteristics, surface morphology and aging resistance of graphene/PBO nanocomposites are compared.
