Abstract

Fire accidents are one of the major problems facing ship, ship fire specific gravity of shipwreck increases year by year. Toxicity and high-temperature of smoke produced in fire is responsible for most of the fatalities. In order to improve the technical level of emergency during ship fire, grope for methods to describe the spreading rule of ship fire and smoke, in this research a novelty simulation method will be presented to calculate the spreading rule of ship cabin fire and smoke, and model verification will be carried out based on miniature model. Appropriate numerical calculation models based on ventilation network combining with field model and zone model of ship fire will be firstly established to character ship cabin fire scenarios. Boundary condition of couple field-zone-net will be obtained so as to establish couple field-zone-net model for ship fire and smoke simulation, thus the smoke fluid scenarios of ship fire will be wholly simulated and the disaster characteristic and its way of changing can be calculated. The problem that inherent disadvantage and expensive model experiment of single simulation model will be solved by using the new simulation model developed in this project. The research results would develop a novelty method for ship fire simulation, provide technological support for ship fire prevention, smoke control, personnel evacuation and emergency response.
