Abstract

The article analyzes the results of empirical research into the relationship between educational organization heads' emotional intelligence and socio-demographic and organizational-professional factors. The following components of educational organization heads' emotional intelligence have been found to be at low level of development: empathy, recognition of other people's emotions, self-motivation, emotional awareness, emotions management and emotional intelligence index. According to their emotional intelligence type, the educational organization heads have been divided into emotionally-ignorant, emotions-controlling and emotionally-sensitive types, with the emotionally-ignorant type being the leading one (almost every second respondent) followed by the emotionally-sensitive and emotions-controlling types (almost equally developed). The author discusses traditional and innovative educational organization management styles in relation to the educational organization heads' emotional intelligence type and level as well as considers the relationships between educational organization management styles and educational organization heads' socio-demographic (age, gender, marital status, children) and organizational-professional factors (position, level of education, type of education, overall length of work, grade seniority, qualification category, pedagogical title, distinctions).
