Abstract

To understand the mechanical properties of polymeric materials such as rubber, it is useful to observe the internal deformation state that occurs during deformation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to establish a dynamic X-ray CT method for specimens under tensile amplitude, and to establish a method to directly evaluate the deformation behavior inside materials under dynamic conditions. Dynamic X-ray CT using the proposed method has successfully produced images that are sufficient to observe internal structures. The deformation behavior was evaluated as local strain amplitude. The results showed that the distribution curve of the local strain amplitude changed depending on the mixture conditions, and that the peak of the distribution curve of the local strain amplitude decreased and the distribution became wider as the fine particles were compounded.
