Abstract

In Junior High School Education, especially in class VIII, they have difficulty digesting theory quickly after learning. Because the material for class VIII science lessons has a lot of theory/reading, the teaching materials used are monotonous. This study aims to develop digital teaching materials using Flip PDF Professional as an application and measure teacher responses and student responses regarding the developed digital teaching materials. This study uses a research and development model (Research and Development). The research object is the development of digital teaching materials assisted by the Flip PDF Professional application in science subjects. The material of the human excretory system is class VIII. The model used in this study is the ADDIE model. The instrument used in this research to collect data is through a questionnaire. Then there are techniques used to analyze the data, namely quantitative and qualitative. The feasibility study by experts and practitioners showed that the acceptance percentage of digital teaching materials in terms of content scope, media design, teaching and learning process, grammatically, and communication aspect get a score percentage more than 80% in line with theoretical dan practical consideration. The tryout of digital media totaling 30 junior secondary school students obtained a percentage of 91% appropriate to improve learning outcome and can be categorized as "eligible," which means that digital teaching materials are appropriate to facilitating science learning in the human excretory system.
