Abstract

With the evolution of mobile communication, every country across the world are moving toward all-IP network for both wire line and wireless communication. The life has become unimaginable without the Internet. It is very significant to understand that who can have access to a particular service and for how long the services are utilized. The AAA protocols were created to fulfill these requirements. Diameter protocol is an advanced AAA protocol and very flexible protocol. It is believed to be next generation protocol for IMS-based architecture, 4G/LTE and 5G networks. Most of the cellular operators use customized tools for analyzing the performance and functionality of IMS-LTE networks. Currently, one such tool for call simulation, performance and functionality analysis is being developed, and call simulations are implemented and tested. This paper briefs how the diameter protocol is involved during the exchange of messages between the node and to check the performance and functionality of the IMS-LTE network elements and to analyze the call simulation.
