Abstract
MIMO boosts wireless data speed. MIMO reduces fading. MIMO antennas increase channel, spatial, and pattern variation. MIMO uses multipath transmission since several antennas share a band with diagonally isolated orthogonal antenna elements. PIN diodes boost S (2–4 GHz), C (4–8 GHz), and X (8–12 GHz) band gain, bandwidth, and efficiency. The final section shows a multiband MIMO antenna with low RCS and good radiation performance, Wi-Fi (2.45 GHz), WiMAX (5.2 GHz), LTE (2.4 and 5.1 GHz), and military applications are compared with the measured and modelled outcomes. Keywords: MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas, RCS (Rich Communication Services) characteristics, Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity), WiMAX (Wireless Inter-operability for Microwave Access), LTE (Long-Term Evolution).
