Abstract
Efficiency of modern clothing manufacture largely depends on the optimal organization of the designing and production processes. Taking into account the historical experience of the domestic enterprises of light industry and the level of development of information technologies, the article justifies the use of virtual enterprises for designing of clothes. It was revealed that there have been two main types of such enterprises: the computer magazines of models oriented to a wide range of individual consumers and the design studios (design bureau), designing clothes for mass production. The result of the analysis of functional capacities of these enterprises, of their advantages and disadvantages was the justification of the concept of designing of clothes in a virtual enterprise. A scheme of an automated designing of clothes in the optimal virtual enterprise was developed, which would expand the number of potential customers and reduce the cost of design-engineering documentation.
