Abstract
This study aims to describe the validity, practicality and effectiveness of Javanese culture-based learning devices through the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach by applying learning tools based on Javanese culture. This research is Research and Development (R & D) using a 4-D model covering the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted in MAS PAB Helvetia schools with a sample of 38 students in class XI-MIA 1. Instruments and Techniques for collecting data using learning device validation sheets, namely Learning Implementation validation sheet, Student Activity Sheet validation sheet, learning practicality assessment sheet, effectiveness sheet learning, and learning activity instruments. The results of the study showed that the Javanese culture-based learning device valid category according to experts, practically in terms of the implementation of learning. And effective in terms of the value of the activities and responses of students. So the Javanese culture-based learning tool through the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach that is fulfilled meets the criteria of valid, practical and effective.
