Development of Automatic Tracking Plasma Spray Welding System of Triple Eccentric Butterfly Valve

Abstract

Herein we design and describe an automatic tracking of three eccentric butterfly valve plasma spraying system and a complete spray welding technology. Two IGBT welding inverters are introduced as the power of both the main arc and pilot arc of the plasma spray welding in the main circuit.Dual-Computer communication control System is adopted in the control circuit of the system: the Programmable Controller（PLC）is employed to control the plasma spray welding process and the single-chip microcomputer 80C196KC is to control the trace and calculating. The tracing performance test and the welding results show that the system is well-designed, steady and reliable, and considering its good welding conditions, we conclude that it can meet the technical requirements of Tri-eccentric butterfly valve surface spray welding and can keep up with the development tendency of automatic tracking of plasma spray welding system.
