Abstract
This paper describes the development of an UAV system customized to be an alternative tool employed on the pest's combat using biological control (e.g., applied over soybean, corn, bean (crops types)). This control uses the pest's natural enemy, distributing them on the fields (through an aerial way) to combat and eliminating the pest's without the use of poison (chemical), improving the agriculture production and increasing the food quality. For this work we are considering the use of a biological control agent called by Trichogramma Pretiosum and your use over soybean crops. The UAVS developed allows the operator to remotely fly and control the aircraft from a one-man portable ground station, considering a pre-defined mission over the crops. The text describes the development of the electrically propelled airborne part of the UAV system, including the aircraft, the assembling of the onboard hardware, the payload development, one-man portable ground station components and software, and the integration of their subsystems. An overview of system works considering a fictitious scenario was used to demonstrate the stages of the biological control process applied over the crops. The main conclusion is that this tested tool system proves it possible to employ an UAVS an alternative toll employed on the pest's biological control.
