Abstract

This research aims to formulate a model of strategy and program for the development of agro-based tourism villages in Catur Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency. This research is characterized by a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. The quantitative research type is specifically used to determine the rating, weight, and score of internal and external factors in completing the IFAS and EFAS matrices. Meanwhile, qualitative research applied grounded research techniques to explore the potential and internal and external carrying capacity that support the development of agro-based tourism villages in Catur Village. The results of this study indicate that several strategies that can be applied in developing Catur Village, Kintamani, Bangli as an agro-based tourism village are: developing a variety of rural tourism products based on the uniqueness of the potential in Desa Catur, creating a brand image of tourist destinations, increasing marketing activities for rural tourism products, improving the security system based on traditional villages, increasing certification of tourism industry products, implementing CHSE to ward off the spread of Covid-19 which is strict in every presentation of rural tourism products and activities, strategies to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit of the Catur village community, Kintamani, strategies to build marketing networks with tourism stakeholders, creating smooth and beautiful accessibility to tourist attractions, building tourism institutional governance, creating a beautiful environment around tourist attractions, increasing the competence of human resources in the field of tourism, increasing public awareness of tourism awareness and sapta pesona (Indonesian term).
