Abstract

The reliability of the main equipment of hydroelectric power plants (HPP) plays an important role in the electric power industry. Today, increasing the reliability of generation equipment, in particular, operating modes of hydroelectric units is an important task. The Russian energy company RusHydro has many priorities in dealing with such issues. Seismic observations and seismometric control at HPP are used to improve the reliability of vibration control systems for hydroelectric units - this is one of priorities RusHydro company. The main goal of this paper is to create a prototype of a system for blocking vibration protection hydraulic unit and write software. Approbation of the system at the operating HPP in Russia. The system considered in this paper will make it possible to exclude false shutdowns of hydraulic units when the vibration control system of the hydraulic unit is triggered by external seismic factors. The system will increase the reliability of the hydroelectric unit in the Interconnected Power System (IPS).
