Abstract

Stuttering is a speech disorder. Stuttering is characterized by frequent repetition or prolongation of sounds, syllables, words, frequent stops or indecision in speech, breaking its rhythmic flow. For the treatment of logoneurosis, in addition to standard speech therapy and psychological methods, technical methods are also used. Such methods include the delayed auditory feedback (DAF) method. This method is based on the Bernard Lee effect. A device using DAF reads a person’s speech and transmits it in real time to a hearing aid with a fixed delay. The article provides an example of a new form factor developed taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of other models. Another part of the implementation of the device is the development of a hardware and algorithmic solution. This article discusses two methods of hardware implementation with a check on the operability of a system with higher efficiency and provides an example of an algorithm for implementing the acoustic communication delay method.
